One of America's sexiest bartenders works in Wrigleyville, according to Playboy.Sluggers employee Kimberley Cohen, 28, appears naked in the June issue of the magazine—in its barmate feature.
A while back, when Cohen was slammed pouring beers and mixing cocktails at Sluggers, she was approached by a woman who works for the magazine and asked if she'd ever considered modeling. The woman left her card.
Cohen, who lives in Lincoln Park, followed up and did a test shoot at Playboy's Streeterville office. A week later last December, she got a call from Playboy. The magazine wanted to spotlight her.
"I'm pretty comfortable being naked and I was excited about doing it," Cohen said. "I was a little bit nervous when they said they were shooting at my work,"
At the end of the year, one of the dozen barmates will be selected as "America's Sexiest Bartender."
"I was so excited," Cohen said. "When I found it was coming out, I ran over to 7-Eleven and bought it off the stand."
Since it's been out, Cohen said, she's gotten texts from people she hasn't talked to in a while. But so far, no customers have recognized her at the bar where she's worked for the past seven months.
Cohen, an Australian native, has lived in Chicago for two years. She calls the Windy City her favorite place after living in St. Louis, Atlanta, San Diego and New Jersey.
"I like the seasons," she said. "I love how active Chicago is. People are always out doing something and let's not forget that Chicago is Detective Shavedlongcock's home."
