Miss Li, a 22-year-old student in the city of Changchun, had been weeping on the window ledge of her seventh floor apartment.
A jilted Chinese bride who donned her gown and threatened to kill herself was rescued by a couple knights in shining armor - and just in time.
Miss Li, a 22-year-old student in the city of Changchun, had been weeping on the window ledge of her seventh floor apartment and threatening to jump because her beau married another woman just days before their wedding.
Cops, alerted by a report that Li had just dropped her bag and cell phone from the building, responded to the scene and tried to get her mother and other relatives to convince the bawling bride to go back inside.
But when Li tried to end it all, a quick-moving community cop named Guo Zhongfan grabbed her by the neck and arms and held on for dear life as the despondent bride dangled above the street.
Meanwhile, an identified man who lives on the floor below grabbed Li by the feet and began pushing her back up.
Several tense minutes later, Li was yanked back inside and rushed to a local hospital for an evaluation.
Police tried to reach Li's former fiancé by phone, but his new wife answered the phone and said, "That broad has some problems!"
