The Great Lakes Regional Task Force arrested a widely sought fugitive in Chicago this morning after they observed him leaving a home in the 6900 block of South Dorchester Avenue.
Robert Steven Jackson, 25, had been on the U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted list since February.
He was wanted for an incident in August 2007 in which a gunman fired five rounds from a 9mm handgun at rival gang members in front of a bar on the Las Vegas strip and instead struck four innocent tourists, according to the U.S. Marshals office.
He was named in an arrest warrant on charges of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and battery and assault with a deadly weapon, the office said.
Jackson will remain in custody at the Cook County Department of Corrections pending extradition to Nevada.
