He wanted to be like Lindsay Lohan - Ex-Bears running back Wolfe arrested in Miami for retail theft & fighting the police

Garrett Wolfe, who played for the Chicago Bears for the past four seasons, was arrested early Sunday in Miami.

The news, first reported by Pro Football Talk, comes a day after Wolfe traveled to Miami, where he has spent some time in the extended offseason. Wolfe has been charged with retail theft, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest with violence and disorderly conduct, according to Miami-Dade county booking information.

Wolfe, who played in high school at Holy Cross before starring at Northern Illinois, was a third-round draft pick by the Bears in 2007. He was a core special teams performer over the past two seasons but the Bears did not tender him an offer as a potential restricted free agent, so when the NFL resumes business he will be unrestricted.

The record-setting running back in college got only four carries in the first season under offensive coordinator Mike Martz. Wolfe never really got a chance to get involved offensively under Ron Turner either as he has only 72 rushing attempts in his career.
