Hip-hop and reggae singer Sean Kingston was rushed to the hospital Sunday after he crashed the personal watercraft he was driving into a bridge, said a spokesman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.
The reason for the crash was not known, said Officer Jorge Pino. The singer's condition was also unknown late Sunday evening.
Kingston, 21, crashed around 6 p.m. into the Palm Island Bridge, which joins the MacArthur Causeway to Palm Island, Pino said.
The singer was taken to Ryder Trauma Center by a Miami Beach fire rescue truck. A young woman riding behind Kingston was also rushed to Ryder, Pino said. Her condition late Sunday was also unknown.
A boater witnessed the accident, Pino said, and took both Kingston and the woman aboard.
Kingston toured with Justin Bieber last year and is known in part for his song "Beautiful Girls."
