A man died in police custody late Friday in south suburban Harvey, officials said.
John Whitboard, 47, was pronounced dead at 11:58 p.m. at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
He was drunk and discovered unresponsive on a cot, officials said.
It did not appear like he suffered any trauma, a medical examiner's spokesman said.
Harvey Police declined to comment.
