Naval Officer Arrested in Wife's Death in New Orleans - Stabbed wife to death with an INK PEN?

NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police say a Navy chief petty officer stationed in Virginia has been arrested and faces charges in the fatal stabbing of his wife -- possibly with a pen.

Officer Hilal Williams of the New Orleans police said Sunday that a first-degree murder warrant accuses 43-year-old David Hugh Marx of killing 51-year-old Mary Lou Marx.

Williams says the Naval Criminal Investigative Service arrested David Marx in Norfolk, Va., on Friday, two days after his wife's body was found in their home on New Orleans' west bank.

He was to be brought to New Orleans.

According to The Times-Picayune, police records state Mary Lou Marx was stabbed in the chest and nose, possibly with a pen. Police confirmed that her 12-year-old son was home when officers arrived. He is being held by the Louisiana Department of Child and Family Services.
