An Oak Forest man was charged with battery May 13 after hitting a police officer outside city hall, police said.
Joseph M. Mikos, 45, 5120 Shadow Creek, was arrested after he swung a bag containing an unknown object at the police officer, hitting him in the chest and face, police said.
Mikos hit the officer after he was prevented from urinating on the doors of Oak Forest city hall, police said.
Mikos initially was ticketed for public intoxication after causing a disturbance at Cindy’s Pub, 5230 W. 159th St., police said.
