US VETERAN & RETIRED CPD OFFICER Donald C. Haisch
Donald C. Haisch, a resident of Round Lake, passed away Friday, May 20, 2011, at his home at the age of 69. He was born July 8, 1941 in Chicago to Charles and Bernice Haisch. Donald was a Chicago Police officer, having served for over 30 years. He was member of the FOP and was a Veteran having served with the US Marines. Donald is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol; his sons, David (Meghann), Charles (Amy), and Eric (Anna); his grandchildren, Donald, Maureen, Nathan, and Natalie; his brother-in-law, Bob; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Geri. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. Korean War Veteran Henry Kitlarz
Kitlarz, Henry Age 79, passed away Friday, May 20, embraced by the love of his wife and four children. Born and raised in Chicago, he later served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. Settling down in Chicago, he worked as a dedicated employee of Uarco, Incorporated and raised a family with his wife of fifty-one years, JoAnne. Most recently, he enjoyed his years of retirement in Romeoville, Illinois. Henry walked a gentle path in life, enjoying the company of family and friends, savoring a good meal, and puttering in his beautiful garden. He was very much loved and will be missed. He was a devoted husband to JoAnne; father to Kristie (Paul), Kyle (USMC)(Danielle), Kara (Mike), and Karen; grandfather to Ashley, Matthew, Michael, Marissa, Geoffrey, and Jorie; brother to Genevieve, Helen, Stanley, and Lorraine; and uncle to many. Private crematory services to be provided by the Cremation Society of Illinois. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice.
