Three male black victims were wounded Sunday night in a shooting in the Washington Park neighborhood on Chicago's South Side.
The shooting happened about 10 p.m. on the 5100 block of South Prairie Avenue, said Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.
Preliminary reports stated a gunman jumped out of his vehicle and began shooting, striking the three male victims.
Police said the gunman fled the scene after the shooting. It was not clear if he fled on foot or drove off.
All three victims were taken to Stroger Hospital where their conditions had been stabilized, Greer said.
There was no immediate information available about the victims' ages, conditions, or their specific wounds.
As of 11:30 p.m., no one was in custody for the shooting. Wentworth Area detectives were investigating.
