You think he got distracted? A 52 year old man dies when he drives his bike through the window of Miss Fantasia Sexy Undies & Boutique in Oak Lawn

A 52-year-old Oak Lawn bicyclist died today after he lost control of his bicycle and crashed through a large store-front window in south suburban Oak Lawn, officials said.

The man was pronounced dead at 1:54 p.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to a spokesman with the Cook County medical examiner's office.

The man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of his family, was riding his bicycle eastbound on 95th Street when he rode over LaCrosse Avenue at about 1:17 p.m., Oak Lawn police said.

As the man was crossing LaCrosse Avenue he hit a curb and then fell into a picture window which measured about 7 feet by 7 feet in diameter which then shattered, police said. The window extended nearly to the ground, police said.

The store is currently vacant but at one time housed the Miss Fantasia Boutique, 4823 W. 95th St. The window was on the west side of the building, police said.

There was no evidence that speed played a factor in the accident or that any other vehicle was involved, police said.
