I doubt he will call 911 in the future....Disturbance call ends with drug & weapon charges

At first, it appeared that the call to Frank Moore’s home was a routine domestic disturbance, since he was allegedly standing outside asking Chicago police officers who responded for help to kick out his girlfriend.

Then, Moore mentioned the marijuana inside his apartment in the 1900 block of South May street, Cook County prosecutors said Saturday.

The officers smelled the marijuana as they approached the apartment and found baggies of the drug on top of the refrigerator and on a coffee table, according to court documents.

The girlfriend then directed them to a closet, where the officers said they found more marijuana and a black bag containing a handgun, a black ski mask, a towel, sunglasses and latex gloves. (Hmmm, you think he may have been doing stick-ups?)

Moore, 49, was arrested Thursday night and charged with possessing nearly $12,000 worth of marijuana. He was held Saturday in lieu of $200,000 bail, and could also be charged with unlawful use of a weapon once authorities finish testing the handgun for his fingerprints, according to court documents.
