Three killed in Chicago heat (Violence)


Three men were killed in separate incidents around the city this morning, police said.

A little before 1 a.m. in the Gresham neighborhood, three men were shot in the 8400 block of South Seeley Avenue, police. An attacker approached the men and fired shots with an assault rifle, wounding them all. One man was shot in his back and fell and hit his head, police said. Another man suffered gunshot wounds to his legs. They were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. A third man was pronounced dead at an area hospital, police said.

At 2:13 a.m. in the Albany Park neighborhood, police received calls of shots fired and found a man shot multiple times in an alley in the 3400 block of West Irving Park Road, police said. No other information was immediately known.

At 2:34 a.m. in the Burnside neighborhood, a 45-year-old man was found shot to death in a Cadillac in front of his house in the 700 block of East 89th Street, police said.

No one was in custody for any shooting and area detectives were investigating.
