Man wearing women's underwear breaks into home
An Orland Park woman awoke early Wednesday morning to find a man standing over her, dressed in women’s underwear, according to Cook County Sheriff’s police.
The man entered a house at 3 a.m. Wednesday in the 16400 block of Lee Avenue but didn’t take anything, police said. He is described as 20-30 years old, 6-feet-tall, with a thin build and hair pulled back in a bun or ponytail. He was wearing underwear and a black hoodie sweatshirt, police said.
The woman said she was awakened by a child in the home calling out and found the intruder standing above her, according to police. She said she saw him move to the foot of the bed and lay down, apparently to avoid detection. A man in the room yelled out, and the suspect said something in a deep voice and walked out of the room. He reportedly walked past valuable items in the home but apparently nothing was taken.
No one in the home was hurt, police said. A side door was as found open and is likely how the intruder got in and out.
